TRUFFLE HUNTER FOR A DAY
“Emozioni dal bosco” offers you the possibility to stay in the unique and unforgettable hills of the Monferrato, famous for its status as a Unesco World Heritage site.
Far away from the typical tourist trail, we go on a search for a precious treasure- the diamond of the earth- truffles!
Immerse yourself in the peaceful countryside of the Monferrato, where you can hunt for delicious mushrooms between the woods
and the fields, with the help of Trifolau, our helpful and indispensable four-footed friend.
From 1st June until 31st of January you can book a place to join us in a wonderful programme of events and activities, where you can take a break from the hectic lifestyle of the city.
PLAN FOR THE DAY
– to meet participants at the motorway exit, Alessandria West “Ovest” (09:00hrs a.m.)
– to accompany you to the woodsin our own vehicles
– a brief guide and explanation of the work of a tartufaio (or truffle hunter), which lasts about 1hr30minutes
– Return trip via agriturismo “La Pomera” where we will be served a rich aperitivo using mushrooms and truffles (prepared by us in the our “Emozioni dal bosco” kitchens), and washed down with a prized wine of the region…. All while surrounded by the glorious green hills of the area.

Adults: 49 €
With the reservation you will pay a deposit corresponding to half of the total amount. The rest will be paid in cash on site.
rules
During the trip to woods, insect repellent and suitable clothes are indispensable, with strong walking shoes or wellington books highly recommended.
We must insist that participants leave their dogs at home, otherwise they can distract the truffle hound.
The truffles found during the excursion are not included in the price of the activity.
There will be a chance to purchase any truffles found at a later time, for a reasonable price.

-Whilst at La Pomera, there is also the chance to visit their fascinating “Museum of Agricultural Life”, which has over 6,000 items in its collection.
-For the more courageous, there are quad bikes for hire from the near-by Monferrato in Quad (Booking is essential. For more information call Stefano on 342-1784290).
-You can visit the laboratory of “Emozioni dal bosco” where Mrs Patrizia Mutti, the owner, will be glad to show you the various phases in the production of mushroom and truffle products, from the woods for the mushrooms, until they reach the table.
-For foreign guests, we can assure you of the presence of a translator.
In case of bad weather the excursion will be moved to a later date, and you will be informed via the number given at the time of booking.
